Truth Matters

Nothing in the world can take the place of truth.

Yet, we are constantly barraged with lies that do just that!

Truth is rooted in the eternal, all-powerful, and unchangeable God! We can’t change truth, but the truth can change us.

As followers of Christ, we’re to walk in truth, love the truth, and believe in the truth, as in contrast to “the cunning and craftiness of others in their deceitful scheming.” In other words, truth matters and we are to be speaking truth in love.”

If God is truth, the source of truth, and the embodiment of truth, then that means He does not consult us to determine what is right and wrong.

Unlike God, the enemy promises without delivering; always denying, spinning the truth, revising, and rearranging counterfeit plans and prizes for our taking. Jesus called him a “liar and the father of lies.” Whose voice of truth are you listening to… the voice of the devil’s impersonation or the Master’s voice?

Who is your way, truth, and life?

Unless we establish strong biblical beliefs and filters to interpret the world, we’ll end up thinking like the world. The Word of God should be our objective standard of truth. His way is perfect and His word will always prove true.

May God help us embrace and live according to His life - giving truth, for all His glory and our good!

“Without the way, there is no going. Without the truth, there is no knowing. Without the life, there is no living.”

- T. Kempis

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

- John 14:6
