MS/HS Student Focus Group: The Story of God

The vision of this group is threefold: to give students a place to develop spiritual friendships, to teach students the Story of God and to have fun! We are excited to include our youth in this churchwide initiative and are asking God to allow students to feel known and loved by MCC. We would love for students from MCC to also invite those from outside MCC to encounter God through this group. Story of God is the curriculum used in our Kingdom Culture track and will help lay an incredibly strong foundation for everyone: those who are familiar with God's Story and those who haven't yet heard.

This group is available to rising 6th graders through graduates.

The group will meet for 6 weeks over the summer and will be located at the Koziarz Farm. The weeks are not consecutive so please note specific times.

Focus Group Schedule:

  • 3:00-3:15pm: Arrival + Small Groups

  • 3:15-4:30pm: Story of God

  • 4:30-6:00pm. Dinner, Fellowship, Swimming, + Fun

Men's Focus Group: The True Measure of a Man

In this Focus Group our desire is for men to see both their valuable role to God and valuable impact in their family and community, especially in times when the path isn't straight and smooth. Our prayer is that men experience and apply God's perspective. We want to see them healed from past failures and apply spiritual principles as they step into their future. We want this Focus Group to create an opportunity and environment where relationships are formed on the foundational truths of Christ.

Women's Focus Group (B): Armor of God

The enemy’s battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers of the air. This study will help the believer understand that the Armor of God is not just a pleasant Biblical picture but it is an action plan developed for putting on this Armor, strategically defeating the enemy and living a victorious life.

Mother's Focus Group: Mom Enough

This group seeks to be rooted in both Biblical motherhood and Kingdom pursuit as we raise up world changers! We will be reading excerpts from Mom Enough: The Fearless Mother’s Heart and Hope, which is a compilation of essays written by moms who are learning how to treasure God and depend on His all sufficient grace while “in the trenches” of mothering young children. Our goal is to build each other up and encourage one another to seek Holy Spirit even in the mundane and to celebrate and respect the different gifts and styles of mothering as we move toward a common goal: to raise children that know God and worship Him.

Baptism at MCC

Water baptism is a visual and symbolic portrayal of a person’s union with Christ in His death and resurrection. It signifies the old way of life that has been put to death and it demonstrates the new found freedom from chains of sin and death.

We believe that water baptism is intended for believers who have already placed their faith in Jesus. At MCC, we practice baptism by immersion.

If you have not experienced believer's baptism we invite you to sign up to be a part of this special demonstration of your faith.

To sign up to be baptized in the future, click HERE.

Fridays @ MCC Special Event: Bright Ones Screening

Exciting news!!! We have the opportunity to host a screening of Bright Ones as part of our monthly Fridays at MCC Worship Night!! We are excited about the film because it aligns with our heart and passion to see kids step into their identity as true worshippers and world changers. The film debuted for one night only on April 22nd in movie theaters and we have the privilege of offering another opportunity to those who missed it (or those who desire to experience it again!)

For those of you not familiar with the film here is a soundbite:

From the creative minds of award-winning Bethel Music, comes this high energy and heartfelt story by writer/directors Fred Vassallo and David Norona, that combines incredible dance with powerful songs to reveal even kids can change the world, when they find their voice and tell their story.

Click here to watch the film's trailer.

This is a unique Friday night in that it will be open to the public. We would love to see people from all over the city join us so invite your neighbors, friends, and family! We will have our usual coffee bar, complete with hot chocolate for the kiddos. We'll also be providing popcorn as a sweet treat. Please feel free to bring other snacks for your crew to enjoy during the film!
We want this to be a fun environment, one where kids and adults feel freedom and joy. Come and experience the truth that with God, we are WORLD CHANGERS!!

Click here to reserve tickets. We encourage you to invite people and reserve tickets now since this event is open to the public and ticket sales can go quickly. Again, we would love for this to be an opportunity to bless others in our city so help us spread the news through word of mouth and social media!
